Mechanical Properties

 

• Strength and toughness: It has moderate tensile strength and impact resistance, is not easy to be brittle and crack, and can withstand certain extrusion and collision (better than PS sheets, slightly inferior to PETG sheets).
• Rigidity: It has moderate hardness, is not easy to deform after forming, and is suitable for making supportive packaging containers (such as salad boxes, pastry boxes).

 

Thermal Properties

 

• Temperature resistance range: Stable at room temperature, can withstand -40ºC~70ºC for short-term use, but it is easy to soften and deform when the temperature exceeds 70ºC, so it is not suitable for high-temperature heating or microwave treatment.
• Processing stability: It has good thermoplasticity and can be processed by blister, flanging, welding and other processes, with good dimensional stability after forming.

 

Chemical Properties

 

• Chemical resistance: It has good resistance to weak acids (such as citric acid in salad dressing), weak alkalis and most food ingredients (oils, moisture, sugars), and is not easy to be corroded or release harmful substances.
• Barrier property: It has certain barrier property to oxygen and water vapor, which can delay food oxidation and moisture absorption (better than PE, slightly inferior to composite barrier sheets).

• Transparency: High light transmittance can clearly show the contents (such as fresh ingredients of salad), enhancing the attractiveness of products.
• Printability: The surface is easy to be printed, bronzed and other treatments, and can be customized with patterns and logos.
