PET release film, also known as PET silicone film, is made by coating silicone oil on the surface of PET film. The purpose is to reduce the surface adhesion of PET film and achieve the release effect. This product has excellent comprehensive performance and plays a key role in many industries.

I. Product Characteristics

1. Mechanical properties

• Tensile strength: The longitudinal tensile strength is 150 - 300MPa, and the transverse tensile strength is 100 - 200MPa. It can withstand large tensile forces, ensuring that the product is not easily broken during processing and use.

• Elongation at break: It is 100% - 300%, with good flexibility. It can be stretched to a certain extent without breaking, which is suitable for application scenarios that require deformation processing.

• Tear strength: It reaches 20 - 50kN/m, with strong resistance to tear damage, enhancing product durability and reducing the risk of tearing during use.

1. Optical properties

• Light transmittance: As high as 90% - 92% or more, the proportion of light transmission is high, which is suitable for applications with high requirements for transparency, such as the protection and display of optical products.

• Haze: It is within 1% - 3%, with a low degree of light scattering, ensuring a clear product surface and not affecting the visual effect of the covered item.

1. Thermal properties

• Melting point: It is 250 - 260°C, with high thermal stability. It can maintain its performance in a high-temperature environment and is suitable for processes involving high-temperature processing.

• Thermal shrinkage rate: The longitudinal and transverse thermal shrinkage rates are both 1% - 5%. The size is stable at a certain temperature, ensuring the shape accuracy of the product when the temperature changes.

1. Release properties

• Release force: The range is from a few grams per square centimeter to dozens of grams per square centimeter. For example, the release force of release film for ordinary tapes is 5 - 10g/cm², and the release force of release film for high-strength adhesives is 30 - 50g/cm². It can be accurately selected according to the characteristics of the adhesive and the use requirements.

• Release force uniformity error: It is controlled within ±10%, ensuring a uniform distribution of release force on the film surface, making the release effect of each part of the product consistent and improving the quality stability of the product.

1. Chemical properties

• Acid and alkali resistance: After soaking in a solution with a pH value of 2 - 12, there is basically no obvious change in appearance and performance. It has strong tolerance to acid and alkali environments and can be used in environments containing acids and alkalis.

• Solvent resistance: The swelling rate is less than 5%. It is resistant to common organic solvents. It can maintain its performance when in contact with organic solvents and does not undergo excessive swelling to affect use.
